October 2026 Update
Hey there, all you Barty fans! The calendar year has now turned over to the final phase, which means we are one month closer to the release of Barty's Adventure! What started six years ago as an impossible idea is not hitting the last phases of development. It's been a wild ride, and I'm so happy to have you all here going through it with me!

Four to Go!
As of this week, I only have four areas of the House left to finish up! There are some big story beats to tie off and a lot of cleanup and organization to go, but it's amazing to see everything come together. Like one big clock, all of the gears and screws are being connected and tied together to get this game working properly.
I finished most of the work for the Underbed, which is the biggest area in the game. I also completed my fiftieth(!) cutscene, with eight of twelve Old Toys stories completed. This area just has so much in it, I feel really good being able to move to another section. I never want to see pixelated dust ever again!
Character Upgrades
My character artist Joao has also been working like a madman, finishing with his upgrades to my character art. He's almost through to the final area, which would mean that every character in the game has received a brush up from either Joao or Rufino (my previous artist). It has been super inspiring working with Joao, and his designs have generated so many new ideas for character personalities and motivations. It's been a fantastic collaboration, and I'd recommend him to anyone who needs any sort of pixel art!
